FAQs

Muay Femur is a highly technical and strategic style of Muay Thai focused on timing, balance, and intelligence over brute force. Kru Sittiphong, a two-time Thailand Champion, teaches students how to think, read opponents, and control the ring with Muay Femur precision. This style develops fight IQ, strategic awareness, and superior technique — ideal for beginners and fighters alike.

Our 3-hour morning format is backed by sports science to prevent overtraining and burnout. We combine proper warm-up, technical drilling, controlled partner work, and recovery — all in one session. Instead of splitting focus across two daily sessions, we give your body time to recover and grow stronger with better knowledge retention and injury prevention.
-
Absolutely. Our structured curriculum starts with strong foundations, making it ideal for first-timers, hobbyists, and returning athletes. Every class is capped for personal attention, and beginners progress alongside more experienced students under direct supervision from Kru Sittiphong.
-
We thoroughly clean our space daily using antibacterial solutions. Our rental gear is sanitized after every use, and students are taught how to clean their personal gear to prevent skin infections. We provide sweat towels, electrolyte water, and charcoal deodorizer packs to keep gear fresh. We also take air quality precautions during smoky season.
-
Yes, we offer a natural saltwater recovery pool. Saltwater soaking promotes circulation, muscle recovery, and reduces inflammation — without the shock of extreme cold. We also integrate post-training recovery with meditation, yoga-based stretches, and mindfulness practices.
-
We are not a volume-based gym. Our small classes ensure expert feedback, every session includes added value (private assessments, gear, recovery support), and we maintain premium facilities. Our prices reflect the quality, safety, and expertise provided — especially for long-term development.
-
You can pay in full or secure your spot with a 20% deposit. With small class sizes and a growing reputation, booking ahead is recommended to reserve your space.
-
Yes, our Youth Development Program sponsors young athletes like Mi (15) and Boss (20), providing them free daily training, gear, and mentorship. By training with us, you're directly helping support their future and preserving the art of Muay Thai for the next generation.
-
All sparring is controlled and monitored. Beginners never spar unsupervised. Kru Sittiphong personally assesses readiness and ensures matchups are safe and appropriate. We reject any fight that isn’t fair or transparent.

Kru Sittiphong is a two-time Thailand Champion with over 500 fights. He’s licensed as a Level 12 Instructor through the Kru Muaythai Association (KMA) and has fought across Rajadamnern, Lumpinee, and Myanmar. He’s also connected to top promoters including ONE Lumpinee.
-
Yes. Sittiphong Muay Thai is a fully registered training center under the Sports Authority of Thailand , which governs and regulates official Muay Thai institutions across the country.
This means we operate legally and transparently, following Thai standards for coaching, safety, and fighter development. Many gyms in Thailand operate informally or without proper registration — but we are a recognized and certified Muay Thai Centre with licensed trainers, formal receipts, and compliance with national standards.
-
If you plan to stay long-term, we can provide documentation confirming your training with us, which some visa services may accept. However, we recommend checking with an immigration specialist for the most up-to-date options. Our center is officially registered under the Sports Authority of Thailand, which helps with paperwork legitimacy.
-
Yes — each student receives a custom Sittiphong Muay Thai handbook to track their personal growth and technique development. While we do not offer belt systems, we offer formal assessments and personalized coaching milestones — particularly useful for students who want to show their progress or prepare for fights.
-
Absolutely. Our training center is designed for safety, long-term progress, and injury prevention .
Jennifer — co-owner of Sittipong Muay Thai — is a Canadian Forces veteran and certified fitness trainer with a background in critical care medicine . She uses this expertise to help design our warm-ups, recovery routines, and injury-safe modifications.
We tailor your training to your current level — whether you're coming back from injury, starting your fitness journey, or training to fight.
Our 3-hour sessions are structured around progressive Muay Thai skill development , not just exhaustion — which means less risk of overtraining and more opportunity for growth. If you're not sure what you can handle, we'll talk with you one-on-one before class to make sure your training supports your health.
-
Yes, absolutely. Whether you're training for a week or a year, having health insurance is essential. Accidents can happen—even outside the gym—and many local hospitals require payment upfront if you're uninsured.
As a Canadian, Jennifer personally recommends Genki Insurance , which covers Muay Thai training injuries (excluding professional paid fights), motorcycle accidents (even without a helmet, as long as no alcohol, drugs, or racing are involved), and more. She's used them herself and found them affordable and easy to work with

Muay Boran is the traditional form of Thai martial arts—the foundation of modern Muay Thai. It includes hand wrapping rituals, grappling, and ancient techniques once used for battlefield combat. We teach elements of Muay Boran during our Cultural Saturdays , which also include Wai Kru practice and youth integration. It helps students appreciate the deeper roots of Muay Thai beyond just the ring.
-
Not at all. You don't need to be fit to start—but if you train here, you will be. We scale all workouts to your level and gradually build your strength, stamina, and technique. Whether your goal is weight loss, self-defense, or long-term training, we'll meet you where you are.
-
Yes! Muay Thai is for everyone, not just the young. Many of our students are in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s. Because we focus on proper warm-up, injury prevention, recovery, and controlled training, you can train safely at any age. Whether you want to build confidence, stay healthy, or learn a new skill—it's never too late.
