  • Sittiphong, known in the ring as “Den Neua Eminent Air,” is the heart of Sittiphong Muay Thai. Coming from a family of champions, his legacy as a Muay Femur master was built on the foundation laid by his father and brother—both accomplished fighters. With over 30 years of experience, more than 500 fights, and the prestigious title of 2x Thailand Champion, Kru Sittiphong has dedicated his life to the art of Muay Thai. As a licensed teacher through Thailand’s Kru Muay Thai Association (KMA), holding a Khan Level 12 and Mongkol Level 2 certification, he has the authority to grade students and guide them toward mastery.

But what sets Sittiphong apart is not just his technical mastery—it is his raw, battle-hardened experience that few modern fighters can claim. He has fought not only under the lights of stadiums but also in the brutal world of Muay Boran, the ancient predecessor of Muay Thai. A testament to this was his fight in Myanmar, where the rules were vastly different from those in Thailand. In the middle of the bout, his Burmese opponent suddenly headbutted him, shattering his nose. In Thailand’s modern Muay Thai, this would have been an immediate foul—but here, it was completely legal. Bloodied but unfazed, Sittiphong’s warrior spirit ignited. He refused to back down.

With the searing pain of his broken nose fueling his resolve, he struck back with a devastating, perfectly timed elbow, splitting his opponent’s nose down the middle and forcing the fight to be stopped. 21 stitches later, his opponent was defeated by TKO.

This was the brutal reality of Muay Boran—a raw, untamed version of the art, where fighters clinch with their hands wrapped in rope instead of gloves, and rather than traditional strikes, opponents would even aim for the eyes instead of landing punches. A true return to the warrior days of Muay Boran.

Most modern fighters will never experience this kind of fight. This is why Sittiphong is excited to introduce Muay Boran on select Saturdays at Sittiphong Muay Thai. Students will have the rare opportunity to learn the art of rope-wrapped combat in a safe and controlled environment—without the lethal elbows, of course. These sessions will focus on the techniques, strategy, and mentality of Muay Boran, giving students an authentic glimpse into the historical roots of the art.

As a child, Sittiphong was inspired by the legendary Saenchai Sor Kingstar, an original Muay Femur master known for his strategy, timing, and elusive footwork. His fighting style was also shaped by greats like Superlek and Buakaw Banchamek, blending precision, intelligence, and adaptability rather than relying solely on brute strength. Now, as a teacher, he offers students a rare opportunity to learn from a fighter of the same generation as these legends—a chance to train under a true master of the art.

With his deep roots in both modern Muay Thai and the ancient traditions of Muay Boran, Kru Sittiphong’s teachings are unlike anything found in mainstream gyms. Students at **Sittiphong Muay Thai won’t just train—they will be immersed in the art, culture, and warrior spirit that define Thailand’s most revered martial tradition.

  • At Sittiphong Muay Thai, training is more than a workout—it’s a transformative journey into the roots and traditions of Muay Thai. Under the guidance of Kru Sittiphong, a seasoned Muay Femur master, every student is taught with respect, integrity, and a focus on personal growth. His teaching philosophy reflects a lifelong dedication to the art, blending traditional techniques with modern insights into safety, progression, and holistic development.

  • While many gyms focus solely on attracting foreigners, Sittiphong is deeply committed to supporting the local Thai and Burmese communities. A portion of the gym’s profits is invested in our youth development program, offering scholarships to children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to Muay Thai training. By teaching these kids, he hopes to provide not just a skill, but a path out of poverty—one that mirrors his own journey. For students, whether local or international, this connection to the community is an integral part of the training experience. At Sittiphong Muay Thai, you don’t just train—you become part of a greater purpose.

  • Muay Thai is a cultural legacy, and Kru Sittiphong ensures every student connects with its roots. Students learn the Wai Kru, a ceremonial dance that pays respect to teachers and the art itself. As a master of multiple Wai Kru styles, he ensures students understand this ritual’s importance and beauty, something often overlooked in other gyms.

Saturdays are dedicated to cultural immersion for our students which include, special classes such as Muay Boran, fight support, and team trips to explore Thailands rich heritage. These experiences allow students to gain a deeper connection to Thai culture, making their journey truly transformative.

  • For long-term students, progress is tracked through bi-weekly assessments, providing students with clear goals and a tangible sense of accomplishment. Whether a student’s focus is on fitness, self-defense, weight loss, or mastering Muay Thai as an art or occupation, every program is tailored to individual needs.

At Sittiphong Muay Thai, you don’t just learn Muay Thai—you experience its soul. With a family of fighters behind him, Kru Sittiphong is not just a trainer but a mentor, passionately committed to his students’ success and the future of Muay Thai.

  • From Burnout to Muay Thai: A Journey of Healing, Discipline, and Purpose

Jennifer, co-founder and wife of Kru Sittiphong, is the heart behind the structure, safety, and care that defines Sittiphong Muay Thai. Originally from Alberta, Canada, she is a Canadian Forces decorated veteran with nearly a decade of military service and a certified fitness trainer. She also holds a master's degree in critical care medicine and has practiced around the world — from remote communities in Canada to emergency rooms in Africa and Italy.

After over 10 years in medicine and high-pressure environments, Jennifer hit a breaking point — what she called “brain pain.” She needed a reset. That search brought her to Muay Thai… and to Thailand.

Inspired by fighters like Lerdsila, Saenchai and Buakaw, she immersed herself in the art, and through it, met Kru Sittiphong. What began as a personal healing journey grew into a love story — and eventually, into the creation of a full Muay Thai training center focused on real technique, recovery, and long-term growth.

Her military and medical experience now fuels everything behind the scenes:
    – Proper warm-up and injury prevention protocols
    – Structured recovery and mindfulness after training
    – Cleanliness, hygiene, and student safety
    – A focus on sustainable training and long-term development

At Sittiphong Muay Thai, Jennifer works side-by-side with Kru Sittiphong to deliver a training experience that honors Thai tradition while creating space for transformation—whether you're here to fight, heal, or grow.

"Muay Thai changed my life when I needed it most. If you're reading this, maybe it's about to change yours too."

  • Drawing from her medical expertise and personal experiences in other Muay Thai gyms, Jennifer ensures that safety and hygiene are paramount at Sittiphong Muay Thai. She has seen the consequences of unsafe sparring practices, unclean gyms, and a lack of accountability, which inspired her to set a higher standard.

From implementing Western hygiene protocols to educating students on maintaining clean equipment, Jennifer’s focus is on creating an environment where students can train with peace of mind. The gym is equipped with a comprehensive first aid kit, liability insurance, and strict standards to prevent issues like fungal infections, staph, and other common training-related illnesses.

Transparency is at the core of Jennifer and Sittiphong’s philosophy. They are committed to fostering an environment where students—both foreign and local—feel respected and informed, whether it’s about training progress, safety practices, or the realities of fighting as a career.

  • Jennifer’s passion for giving back to the Pai community is central to the vision of Sittiphong Muay Thai, and our Youth Development Program lies at the heart of this mission. Inspired by Sittiphong’s own journey out of poverty through Muay Thai, the program offers Thai and Burmese children and teens access to training, gear, and opportunities to build brighter futures.

The idea for our Youth Development Program was born from a shared dream between Jennifer and Sittiphong: to create a space that welcomes everyone. Witnessing instances where local children were unable to participate in Muay Thai due to financial barriers or gyms that prioritized foreign students reinforced their commitment to building a gym that is inclusive, supportive, and community-focused.

This isn’t just about Muay Thai—it’s about empowerment. By providing local youth with the tools, discipline, and confidence to grow through Muay Thai, Jennifer and Sittiphong hope to inspire the next generation, giving them a chance to overcome challenges and create meaningful opportunities for themselves and their families.

For Jennifer, this program is the heart of their mission: a gym that honors Muay Thai’s roots while offering hope and transformation to those who need it most.

  • As a fluent English speaker, Jennifer plays a vital role in connecting international students with the roots of Muay Thai. She ensures that travelers feel welcomed and immersed in Thai culture while training in an environment that honors Muay Thai’s traditions.

Together with Sittiphong, Jennifer works tirelessly to ensure that Sittiphong Muay Thai is a place where students feel like they are part of something greater—a gym that values integrity, community, and personal growth.

Papa – The Guiding Force Behind the Sittiphong Legacy

Papa, the father of Sittiphong is the cornerstone of the Sittiphong Muay Thai family. A former fighter himself, he understands the challenges and sacrifices required to succeed in the ring. But more importantly, he believed in fostering respect, fairness, and dignity in a sport that can often be harsh.

In a time when Thai fighters were sometimes mistreated or punished for losing, Papa stood firm in protecting his sons. He made it his mission to ensure they were treated with respect, scolding any coach who crossed the line. For Papa, Muay Thai was more than just fighting—it was about discipline, fairness, and developing character.

He was always there to cheer for Sittiphong and Phong, guiding their journeys and ensuring they had the right coaches and training to succeed. His unwavering support and belief in their potential helped shape the legacy that continues today through Sittiphong Muay Thai.

Now, as the next generation carries on the family’s Muay Thai tradition, Papa watches with pride, knowing his values and dedication live on in every student who trains under his son.
